We met at Dublin Station in downtown DeLand on August 2 to start on plans for Fall 2011....remember how we used to be able to do things in a week? After much laughter and eating and figuring out who was who, it was decided that about 11 of us will form the committee to design a fantastical reunion next year. I think it was everyone who could still raise his/her hand without moaning...no, we took Tommy O'Quinn too.
The first problem is that DHS doesn't even know what date Homecoming will be next year! Seems that all the schools have to get together and plan their games out first and that won't happen till after the last football game of this season is played. Sports! Sigh. So for now we are going to make lots of tentative plans and see what works.
